The magical serums that will diminish marks and even your skin out.

Have you tried every possible skincare but can not seem to be able to shift them stubborn blemishes or achieve a clearer more even complexion? Fed up of not knowing what products to actually use that will actually work and be effective? Fed up of throwing away your money? Well my loves, here are my top 4 products that I have tried, tested and are my ride or die skincare products ever!

As part of everyones skin care regime it is very important to incorporate a treatment product. Treatment is what is needed for the skin in order to keep it looking and feeling its best. In order to ensure my skin is looking clear and even I use serums on my face. There are many different serums available today from many different brands. Of course I have not tried each and every serum in the world but trust me when I say I have had my fair share.

For everyday use day and night I never skip using my serum when I do my skincare regime. A serum is used just before your moisturiser. Serums are best described as food for your skin. They help put back ‘food’ into our skin that we may be lacking. Think of the food as vitamins, minerals and certain special ingredients applied as a base before your moisturiser to treat the skin and help it mend or even recover. Serums are also used to maintain good skin as well as protection from any possible future damage to your skin.

Here are my top 4 serums:

  1. Bobbi Brown Skin Supplement-I have talked about this serum before, it call it the saviour of all serums. It is packed with endless minerals and vitamins. I apply it on twice a day, day and night. When I have stopped using this product,I find my skin feels even more drier then it is and feels like it lacks plumpness. I have noticed that when I do break out on my face with spots, when I apply this product it helps diminish my blemishes and evens my skin tone out, by getting rid of the marks and making my skin look more healthy, smooth and radiant.
  2. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum– This serum can be used day and night but I have found it is more effective overnight.  It does exactly the same as the Bobbi Brown Skin Supplement but is even more concentrated so it’s best to use this at night. Your skin repairs itself 9 times more during the night. It contains anti ageing ingredients and has won awards for being the number 1 anti-ageing serum. It can be a personal preference thing too. I have used this serum for years but tend to sway more to the Bobbi Brown Serum as it works better for me and also my concerns isn’t so much ageing so maybe that may be another reason too. My husband uses this product religiously and prefers this over the Bobbi Brown Skin Supplement Serum.
  3. Dr Murad Youth Renewal Retinol Serum- I have been using this serum for two weeks after my facial with Natasha who does my facials at Murad in House Of Fraser in Oxford Street. Natasha has endless years of experience working for Murad as a facialist, so when it comes to Murad and her advice it is one to trust! This serum has Retinol which is known for it’s amazing properties for plumping the skin, minimising wrinkles and deep lines. It contains Swertia Flower extract, an ingredient known to boost skins resiliance and boost firmness. What I did notice was that after 2 days only my blemishes had started to fade considerably and my complexion looked much smoother and clearer. I apply this on at night before my night cream. The best feeling is when you wake up in the morning and your skin feels and looks amazing! Can not live without this product!
  4. Dr Murad Advanced Active Radiance Serum- Known to improve clarity, radiance and brightness of the skin this serum is amazing for asian to dark skin tones who suffer easily from pigmentation. Vitamin C helps improve skin radiance whilst helping to enhance collagen production and also preventing the skin from future damage to the skin. I use this serum day and night along side my Bobbi Brown Intensive skin supplement for the day and my Dr Murads Retinol Serum for the night before my moisturiser is applied. This definitely has made my skin look more bright and lifted. This serum helps even my skin tone when I get pigmentation from time to time. Everyone needs this in their life, even a few times a week incorporated into your skincare regime to help give you a brighter complexion even when your feeling dull.

I will be trying other serums that I have been meaning to try for a while now soon. Look out for another blog post.
