I am super excited to be finally able to share with you all my beauty secrets and knowledge and reviews on products, but before I do here is a little about me.
When I was a little girl, around the age of 12, I used to steal my mums black kohl powder and her to die for glitter eyeshadow (which I actually still have to this day, can you believe it?) and secretly apply it on when my mum wasn't at home or when I went to school. The glitter eyeshadow wasn't like any standard packaged glitter pigment you see today no no no, this one came in a finger sized glass tube with a fancy roller ball applicator. I then used to apply the Khol powder in my waterline and dress up in my best outfits and feel like the prettiest girl in the world! My mum being my mum knew all of this of course; she used to get really angry and explain to me every time, 'Taiba you are too young for makeup but your time will come be patient'. Only now being a mother of two, with a son who is 9 and my daughter who is 7, I know now that parents always know best.
Eventually, as I grew older, I was allowed to wear minimal make-up which consisted of black kohl pencil and clear lipgloss or vaseline. When I started breaking out even more with teenage spots at the age of 15, my mum surprised me with my first ever foundation from Elizabeth Arden! Yes Elizabeth Arden, would you believe it. This was 14 years ago and for any working class family a foundation from your local drug store let alone a high end brand like Elizabeth Arden was not easily affordable! I was so made up as I could now cover my blemishes and still look pretty from the outside which really helped build my confidence, after all, I was suffering from acne. From the age of 12 I suffered from mild Acne and as puberty took its course, my Acne got worse peaking out when I was 16. Make-up was very important to me as a young sixth former and my passion for looking after my skin grew from here.
I have always taken pride in the way I present myself. From beauty to fashion; I researched, invested, studied, tried and tested hundreds of products which is when, about a year ago I decided that I wanted to start sharing my love, passion and experiences with everyone. I thought to myself, I could help others tackle any issues they have so that they too can feel confident and beautiful in their own skin as well as with makeup on, WHY NOT?!
At university I studied Interior Design & Architecture this is where my passion for Interior, travel and fashion came from.
My love and knowledge for the health and beauty industry is always bursting and I am learning new amazing things everyday.
I hope you all benefit from my posts and enjoy reading through my reviews of products that have all been tried and tested on myself as well as my love for Interior, lifestyle, fashion, fitness and travel. Thank you for joining me on my beautiful journey as a beauty blogger and I would like to welcome you all to my world filled with love and beauty!
Lots of Love
